tell me about yourself-- Aenghus was born the second child and the only son of the Kildare family on a rainy 24th of October. He has one older sister named Aine and six younger sisters. He grew up helping around the family farm and his magical capabilities began to show themselves at the age of seven. When he was eight years old, he turned a stick into a snake and dropped it on his older sister's head, thereby scaring her to death. He still feels immensely guilty about it.
and your arrival--
He is the second child of his family, his older sister entered Hogwarts the year before and, since she seemed a little out of sorts, their parents agreed to allow Aenghus to join the school, not anticipating him being put into a different house than Aine. However, it's worked out well enough so far.

Aenghus is tall and gangly with the look of a boy who hasn't quite grown into his body yet and is still adjusting. He still has traces of boyishness in his face, and he has pale skin like the rest of his family. He isn't what people could call "handsome" but he has a certain look in his appearance that can be considered attractive to certain people. As he is fourteen, he's still growing... a lot.

Aenghus isn't the smartest wizard in the school (but he's not the stupidest either), however, what he lacks in book smarts and magical know-how is balanced out by his extreme sense of loyalty and his desire to protect those who don't have the means or the ability to protect themself. This includes his sisters, mostly the three who already attend Hogwarts: Aine, Gwenhyvar, and Morrigan. He has been described as the epitome of the Gryffindor student: Loyal, Brave, True. He won't back down from a challenge nor will he compromise his honor. He looks up to Gryffindor, the head of his house like a father/uncle/older brother and values his opinions over anyone else's (except for maybe his older sister's but then, she's just that kind of person). His strength is Defense Against the Dark Arts and he does well with spells that have to do with warding off threats to others. Like his sister Aine, he speaks with a heavy Irish accent and is more comfortable with Irish than English. He often finds himself the butt of jokes and teasing for it.
