On a whole Slade is an average guy. His hair is a messy blond and his eyes are chocolate brown. He is well muscled but not a hulking ogre. His height is six foot seven inches, the only not average thing about him actually. Slade has quite a few scars covering his body but the biggest one is a thick line running from his neck to his left knee.

It is hard for somebody to get to know Slade because he is so untrusting and guarded. The first thing people think when the see Slade is that he is a mean jerk. People think because of his enormous size and brooding demeanor that Slade is a bully or something. Slade doesn't like to talk to people also so they think that he is a jerk.

After a while if someone gets used to Slade and he gets used to them then people realize that he is a nice guy that is prone to solve things with force than words. Also people would realize that he isn't a jerk or mean, just quiet. However they would still notice how guarded he is and sometimes people don't like that.

If someone really got to know Slade they'd find that he is a sweet, nice, & brave guy that stands up for what he loves and believes in. He isn't mean, just easily irritated. He isn't a jerk, just quiet. And he isn't a freak, just a normal wizard kid that doesn't know what to do.

tell me about yourself--

On October 24 sixteen years ago Slade Killhart was born in a small village to two muggles. It was a great day for the two, Artemus & Leona Killhart. They were straightlaced and ridgid people, rules were the priority. However the two muggles were delighted to finally have a child and a boy none the less. Of course these muggles were so straightlaced that they disapproved of anything out of the norm, Slade didn't have a chance.

As Slade grew up he started to show signs of magic. There were the occasional incidents where he would unwillingly do magic and his father would try to "force the abominations" out of him. Slade tried to hide his magic but it was no use the more he tried to hide it the more it would come out. Slade grew a resentment to authority, rules, and his parents. Eventually Slade had enough.

When he was around the age of ten his parents kicked him out of his small straightlaced village. Slade isn't quite sure where he went but that he moved all the time. All he had was his clothes on his back and a dagger on his belt. While he was on the move he met a man named Lucifent Dodder. Lucifent knew magic, way better then the young Slade did. Slade was taught magic by Lucifent and travelled with him learning magic and expierencing the world.

Lucifent and Slade travelled for the next four years. During their travels Slade learned a wide variety of magic. It was a happy time for Slade, but everyone knows that happy times can't last forever. Slade should have known that more than anyone, but he didn't want to believe it.

It all came to end when Lucifent was murdered. It would've been easier to say that Lucifent died a lovely, peaceful death, but that would be a lie. A young and crazed wizard came across them in their travels in Northern England. The insane wizard believed by killing another wizard that he could gain the others magic. Unbelievably the wizard won and Slade was left alone and Lucifent dead.

However not long after Slade learned of Hogwarts. He wandered if they would take him in. So he set off on foot and arrived there to learn that they usually only accept 11 year olds. After much debate the school graciously took Slade in due to his situation and magical knowledge. He arrived as a fourth year and has stayed there since. Surprisingly the house he was put in was Gryffindor, not many people understood why he was in Gryffindor and not Slytherin. Maybe because he was Muggleborn or maybe the Sorting Hat saw the true Slade, who knows.

and how're you're doing--

Currently Slade is a sixth year at Hogwarts. He is doing well in his classes but in the social department he is still lacking. There are a fair few people that he is actually on talking basis with. People generally stay away for Slade because they find his monsterous build and brooding attitude scary.
