Isabella glided into the courtyard there weren't many students here and then again there never were. She sat on one of the benches and just looked around for a while it was beautiful not a lot of talking because there wasn't many students. She sighed happily before reading a muggle book she had brought from home. Isabella didn't believe she was the only Slytherin that wasn't pure blood but till then she tried to keep it a secret surprisingly it got easier once her muggle mother died. True she did miss her mum dearly but she never brought her up in conversations her dad usually kept them going by talking about Quidditch to all her magical friends.

Jessica stalked purposely over to a bench under a large oak tree and sat, tossing her book bag to the ground causing her supplies to fall all over the ground. The girl, already frustrated, didn't bother picking them up, and instead left them to lie there halfway in the grass, halfway in her bag.
"Maybe I could turn him into a weasel." she mumbled angrily under her breath, sitting down on the stone bench and resting her head in her hands. She was, of course, referring to Professor Salazar Slytherin. That afternoon, while in potions class with the Gryffindors, she had accidentally mixed up the dried frog leg and mummified rat tail, making her whole cauldron explode and causing one of her fellow Hufflepuffs to be sent to the hospital wing. Slytherin, who was filling in for Professor Ravenclaw who happened to be running an errand off campus, used the pretense that she had done it on purpose, and gave Jessica detention for the next week. As if denying her acceptance into his dorm on her very first day wasn't enough, Professor Slytherin always seemed to be on the lookout for some nasty way to torment her. Ever since her first night in Hogwarts, Jessica and Slytherin had always been on... less-than-friendly terms, and it showed.
Sighing, and unable to sit still for too long, Jessica got up and crouched down in the grass, returning her school books to her bag. Once the task was complete, she stood again and turned back to the bench, but she didn't sit. She just stood there and stared at it for a moment. This was, in fact, the very same bench where she and her best friend, Mary, had met almost six years ago.
Jessica had been sitting by herself under the old oak tree, alone and dejected after being openly denied a spot in Slytherin by the founder himself. Mary had approached her with a skip in her walk and a smile on her face. Miraculously, Mary was able to immediately cheer Jessica and at that moment their friendship sparked to life. Mary was gone now. Expelled for conditions she could not control. Expelled for who she was.
Jessica was suddenly overtaken by a wave of searing rage, and in a bout of fury, she pointed her wand at the bench and screamed, "Reducto!"
The smooth, stone bench suddenly exploded into many little pieces which flew this way and that, launching themselves into the ground and some into the old oak tree leaving nasty splintered holes and gashes in the soft bark.
Jessica wasn't aware that there was someone sitting on a different bench only a few yards away on the other side of the large oak, but she wouldn't've cared anyway.
(OOC: Um... Yes, the girl is Isabella. Just wanted to make that clear. Also, sorry it's so gosh darn long, hahahaha. I have a problem with posting really, really long.)

"Well someone seems angry" Isabella said sarcasm dripping with every word as her reading was interrupted by a hufflepuff girl making the bench explode. "Is there a reason why you are talking your anger out on harmless benches?" Isabella asked the angry hufflepuff girl she asked her eyes fixed on the book trying to enjoy it though it seemed in vain now. Isabella studied the girl she didn't recognize her but then again Isabella was surrounded by Slytherins not many Hufflepuffs or Ravenclaws or even god forbid Gryffindors. Though the girl seemed so angry not even trying to calm herself down. She was pretty blonde hair, pale, she was taller than Isabella but then again who wasn't? Isabella wondered what would make this student so upset but she wasn't sure if she should dwell on it. This girl couldn't benefit her in anyway, and she probably didn't even want to talk to Isabella who in this school ever liked Slytherins except for those pureblood fanatics like her head?

Jessica gave a start when a voice suddenly sounded from behind the tree. For a moment, she almost thought that the tree was talking, because that would totally not be ridiculous for Hogwarts, but as she looked around Jessica spotted a girl sitting on a bench a few yards away with her head buried in a book. "Sentimental reasons." she sneered, venom dripping from her words. At first Jessica thought it was a Ravenclaw girl because of the book in her hand, but upon further investigation, she noticed the crest on her robes and the green and silver tie around her neck. Slytherin.
Jessica had a very instinctive grudge against the Slytherins, partly because their headmaster was her mortal enemy, and partly because most of them were just complete jerks. This girl didn't look any different than the rest of them, and her snide comments only confirmed this assumption. Jessica, already enraged from the day's events, went on the defensive.
"Oh, I'm sorry. Did I interrupt your reading break? I'm sure you were just getting to the good part, right? Wait, don't tell me... the cute little gnomes are trapped in the lair of the big, nasty Nargle eater and they're about to get devoured by the beast!" she paused, grinning mockingly at the Slytherin girl. Jessica was having fun with this. No, she wasn't usually this vindictive, but she was in a particularly bitchy mood today and having someone to take it out on almost made it all better. Besides, the Slytherin started it, right?

"Close but no it's a muggle book actually?" Isabella fired back smirking she was a bit amused by this girl did she actually she could win in this game, it was a Slytherin game and Slytherins always won. Isabella closed the book and lean against the tree boredly she didn't care much for this girl right now Isabella found her a bit...useless she couldn't benefit Bella in anyway. "Well are you quit done with your little episode because you were right it was interrupting my book" Isabella said smugly and eye brow raised in challenge practically screaming 'Your turn to show me what you got'. Isabella couldn't wait to humiliate this girl though she found it entertaining that she assumed Isabella was pureblood just because of her house.

Jessica shifted her weight to her right leg, crossing her arms nonchalantly. Oh, she was fighting back. Well, what else had she expected? This girl was a Slytherin after all. Not that it mattered. There was no way Jessica was going to lose to this Slytherin bitch and make herself look like a fool.
"A muggle book? Aren't all of you Slytherins brainwashed into thinking that muggles are the unclean, vile scum of the earth? What gives? Feeling a little rebellious toward your supreme evil overlord, Salazar?" Jessica scoffed, calling the Slytherin founder by his first name just for the sake of being disrespectful. Although sarcasm seeped from her words, she was being serious. What was a Slytherin doing with a muggle book? Salazar had denied Jessica entry into his house just for being a half-blood. What made this girl so special? What gave her the right to read something from the muggle world? Pure blood snob, Jessica thought to herself, a malevolent scowl forming on her lips.

Isabella's lips turned down into a viscous snarl but the girl had her. Isabella couldn't tell her that she was reading from from a muggle book because she was half-blood then she would be forced to leave Slytherin and Bella liked it there. "If it was any of your business you would know why and what makes you think all Slytherins are evil!" True Slytherins were known to evil but Isabella wasn't she couldn't even kill someone if she wanted to. She didn't even want people to know about her muggle mother because she didn't want to die. What did this girl have against Slytherin's anyway to make her hate them so much true there had never been a muggle-born in Slytherin and as far as Isabella knew she was the only half-blood. "If I told you why I was reading a muggle book you wouldn't believe me trust me" Isabella murmered more to herself than anyone though she kept looking at the girl just to see what she would do next before shoving the book deep in her bag where it would stay hidden.

Jessica grinned slyly at the Slytherin girl. She knew she had won, the aggravated, defeated look on the Slytherin's face testifying to that fact. Normally Jessica would have backed off about now. It was just common courtesy, not to mention common sense, to stop while you were ahead. However, Jessica had no more respect or remorse for this girl, and her ego was beginning to get the best of her. "Try me." she said simply, but forcefully. What excuse could this Slytherin possibly make up? Of course, Jessica was expecting a lie. What kind of Slytherin would she be if she told the truth? And besides, how could the truth possibly explain this?

Isabella looked around the courtyard no one was there but she kept her eyes on the entrance her only exit. "I'm a half-breed that's why" she whispered lowly then she pulled out her wand. "And if you tell anybody I swear I won't kill you but I'll get pretty close" She warned placing her wand directly at her throut if anyone found out Isabella was a half-blood Slytherin she would probably be killed or worse, she didn't want to leave her house but if they found out she would be sent to Beabaxtons for school and she didn't want to be sent to France.

Jessica's smug grin slowly faded away. For a moment, she almost believed the Slytherin girl, as serious as she sounded. But Jessica wasn't fooled. "Yeah, right." she retorted, scornfully. "And I'm a dementor." She eyed the wand pointed at her throat unconcernedly. "Please put that away, before you hurt somebody. Namely, me." she said, lowering the Slytherin girl's wand with her finger. It was a strange thing for a Slytherin to say, though. Why would one of them even lie about that?
"What's your name?" she fired off suddenly, dropping all sarcasm and scorn from her voice. Who knew? Maybe she was being serious. But then again, if she was, why was she telling Jessica? Not that Jessica had any sympathy for her, she was just curious.

"Isabella Night though if I had any friends I would be called Bella" She said lowering her wand slightly it was probably better that this girl didn't know that she was a half-breed if she did it would get to Salazar one way or another. "Your's?" Isabella asked in a bored tone she just noticed that she had been refering to the girl as hufflepuff or half-breed.

How fitting, Jessica thought to herself. Although the girl didn't really look like an Isabella, or even a Bella to her, the Night part seemed to fit the girl's dark hair and eyes pretty well, not to mention her personality. "Isabella, then." Jessica tested the name. "I'm Jessica. Jessica Durmstroll." She didn't bother holding out her hand for the other girl, Isabella, to shake. As arrogant as it sounded, Jessica really had no desire to make any physical contact with this girl.
"Nice to meet you, Isabella." Jessica said, trying and failing to keep the haughtiness out of her voice. "Well, I've got somewhere to be, so if you're done with me, I'll be going." Jessica had promised to help Helga with the new, exotic magical plant that had been shipped to her from a friend in Peru. Helga had mentioned something about Mayan temples and ancient gods... Not to mention the detention with Salazar later. No doubt he would come up with some cruel and unusual punishment just to torment her.
